According to the actress, she was naturally very thin as a child until her mother gave her herbal medicine designed to improve her appetite. The treatment worked so well that she quickly gained weight. Song Hye Kyo even recalled a neighbor teasing her mother by saying: “Your daughter used to be pretty, but now she’s ruined her looks.”

The actress shared the story with laughter, explaining that her face became so chubby that her facial features were difficult to recognize in photos.

When comedian Kim Sook asked whether the childhood photos still existed, Song Hye Kyo admitted that she still keeps them. However, she made it clear that fans shouldn’t expect to see them anytime soon. “They’re at home, but I’m not releasing them. I can show them privately.” Her playful response quickly became a hot topic online, with many fans joking that even her “hidden” childhood photos would probably still be adorable.
