Actress Son Ye-jin lit up the stage at the 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF), recalling her cherished memories of filming the hit drama Crash Landing on You (사랑의 불시착) alongside her now-husband Hyun Bin.
Attending the Actors’ House event on September 18 at SoHyang Theater in Busan, Son was asked to share her happiest moments from the set of the beloved series. Her answer? “There were just so many happy moments—why is that? I guess it was every day.”
While joking about her memory fading after becoming a mom, Son got candid as she remembered the drama’s scenic filming in Switzerland. “Switzerland suddenly comes to mind. We had to shoot the ending first, and I can’t forget that scene where Yoon Se-ri meets Ri Jeong-hyuk again and hugs him while paragliding. I can’t forget that landscape… and I can’t forget Ri Jeong-hyuk either,” she said with a laugh.
She admitted that the shooting schedule in Switzerland was grueling, with back-to-back shoots making it impossible to enjoy the scenery at the time. Yet now, those moments remain etched in her heart. “Even though it was hard, I think the hardship made it more memorable. Those struggles have all become treasured memories,” she said.
Son Ye-jin and Hyun Bin, who starred together in The Negotiation (협상, 2018) before reuniting for Crash Landing on You, confirmed their romance after the drama concluded. The couple married on March 31, 2022, and welcomed their first child in 2023.
