Son Seok-gu expressed affection and respect for fellow actor Ma Dong-seok.
Actor Son Seok-gu attended the GV (a talk event with the audience) broadcast live through Naver NOW. on June 15th to commemorate the movie “The Roundup” reaching 10 million admissions. Actors Ma Dong-seok, Choi Gwi-hwa, Heo Dong-won, Ha Joon, Jung Jae-kwang, and director Lee Sang-yong were also seen at the event.
On this day, Son Seok-gu said, “If today’s event is my last chance to deliver my feelings, I want to express my gratitude to Dong-seok hyung.”
He showed respect for Ma Dong-seok, saying “Between actor and actor, I learned so many things from him. I think any actor would have the desire to produce and create their stories by themselves one day. Sunbaenim (Ma Dong-seok) showed me the blueprint to make it happen.”
He continued to thank Ma Dong-seok, saying, “He gave me lots of energy to do that. I won’t be able to perform perfect action scenes and brilliant ideas like you. But thank you for making me dream of becoming the second Ma Dong-seok in my own way.”
Meanwhile, “The Roundup” surpassed 10 million cumulative admissions on June 11th, the 25th day after the movie was premiered.
