According to News1 on October 22, Son Na Eun has been confirmed to appear in Manager Kim, which is based on the popular Naver webtoon of the same name. The story follows Manager Kim (played by So Ji Sub), a seemingly ordinary middle-aged office worker hiding a secret past as a North Korean special agent. When his beloved daughter is kidnapped, his dormant skills are reignited in a desperate fight to save her.
Son Na Eun will play Sang Ah, a key character and colleague at Manager Kim’s workplace. With actors like Choi Dae Hoon and Yoon Kyung Ho also on board, her addition adds to the growing excitement around the ensemble cast. Viewers are particularly curious about the chemistry between Son Na Eun and So Ji Sub, and how her character will evolve in the tense storyline.

The series will be directed by Lee Seung Young, known for Wonderful World (2024), Tracer (2022), and Voice 2 (2018). Meanwhile, Nam Dae Joong, who directed films such as The First Ride (2025), Love Reset (2023), Homme Fatale (2019), and The Last Ride (2016), is making his drama scriptwriting debut with this project.
Since debuting in 2011 as a member of Apink, Son Na Eun has steadily built her acting credentials. She has led in works like Second 20s (2015), Cinderella with Four Knights (2016), Dinner Mate (2020), Lost (2021), and Ghost Doctor (2022). More recently, she impressed audiences in the 2023 drama Agency — which peaked at a 16.044% viewership rating — and in 2024’s Romance in the House, where she expanded her acting range with a uniquely Korean “eldest daughter” role.
In the period drama The Tale of Lady Ok, she portrayed real Ok Tae Young, a noblewoman who gifts a new life to the enslaved protagonist Goo Deok (played by Lim Ji Yeon), further proving her versatility as an actress.
With Manager Kim scheduled to air in 2026 on SBS, anticipation is mounting over Son Na Eun’s performance in what could be one of her most dynamic roles yet.
