On September 5, fans of SHINee’s Taemin noticed that his YouTube channel published a new video about X CEO Elon Musk joining a debate between U.S. presidential candidates Kamila Harris and Donald Trump, raising alarms among fans.
Additionally, it was noticed that this also happen to the accounts of various other K-pop artists, including VIVIZ,girl group Bad Villain, and the official account of agency Big Planet Made
All of the hacked accounts are known to have over 100,000 subscribers and started to publish videos about Elon Musk’s company, Tesla, which voice support about Trump afterwards.
So far, Big Planet Made has released an official statement regarding the hacking situation, stating that they are “currently working with YouTube to resolve the issue” and will do their best “to restore all content as quickly as possible”.
