SM Reveals Second Half Lineup: NCT Dream, aespa, Taeyeon and nævis

SM Entertainment announced their lineup for the second half of the year, featuring comebacks from NCT Dream, aespa and Taeyeon, as well as the official debut of virtual artist nævis.

According to the lineup released by SM Entertainment on August 8th, NCT Dream will release a new full-length album in the fourth quarter and embark on their third world tour, which will include stops in North America, South America and Europe.

aespa, who gained significant popularity earlier this year with “Supernova”, will continue their momentum with their second world tour and a new mini-album.

NCT Wish and WayV will also meet fans with new mini-albums, while RIIZE and Girls’ Generation’s Hyoyeon will release new songs.

jaehyun solo

Solo activities from SM artists like NCT’s Jaehyun, SHINee’s Minho and Red Velvet’s Irene are also lined up.

Jaehyun will showcase his musical talent with the release of his first solo album “J” on August 26th.

The album includes eight tracks, including both Korean and English versions of the title track “Smoke”. Two songs from the album, “Roses” and “Dandelion”, will be pre-released on August 12th.

SHINee’s Minho will release his second full-length album, while SHINee’s Key, Super Junior’s Yesung and Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon will make their comebacks with new mini-albums.

In addition, EXO’s Chanyeol, Red Velvet’s Irene and NCT’s Mark will also be launching solo activities.

SM will also introduce new artists in the latter half of the year.

nævis

Virtual artist nævis, who made a surprise appearance at aespa’s solo concert in June, will release her debut single in the third quarter.

SM’s first British boy group, Dear Alice, will start their activities in August.

In the fourth quarter, SM plans to debut a new girl group, marking the first girl group since aespa’s debut about four years ago. A new boy group is also in the works, aiming for a 2025 debut.

Additionally, the five-member “Trot Idol”, featuring contestants from the audition show “Mr. Trot”, will have their growth journey documented in a TV program airing in Korea and Japan during the fourth quarter. Following the show’s broadcast, they will embark on a nationwide tour.

SM’s contemporary R&B label, KRUCIALIZE, will introduce their first artist in October.
