SM apologizes regarding protest of Taeyeon’s fandom “We will listen to fans’ voices”
SM Entertainment expressed their position on fans' protest related to Girls' Generation Taeyeon.
On July 5th, SM Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as “SM”) uploaded a post through their official account, saying, “We have recently checked various opinions sent from fans regarding Taeyeon.”
SM continued, “We will listen to fans’ various voices about Taeyeon’s concert, which is currently underway, and future activities. We will do our best to collect and reflect the opinions you sent us.”
They added, “Once again, we deeply appreciate fans’ affectionate rebuke and support, and promise to support Taeyeon’s music and various activities more closely in the future. We will continue to do our best for the growth and development of our artists as well as repay the interest and support from fans.”
Earlier, Taeyeon’s fan union announced a “statement calling for normalization of artist Taeyeon’s concert promotion” in relation to Taeyeon’s “The ODD of Love” tour and held a truck protest in front of SM Entertainment’s office building from June 22nd. Fans requested to promote the concert, rent concert halls that meet the demand, provide Taeyeon’s own content and share the progress of suing malicious commenters on a regular basis.
