“Single in Seoul” Lee Dong-wook “The keyword ‘whole nation flirting’ is a heavy responsibility”
Actor Lee Dong-wook transforms into an influencer who enjoys being single and showcases the essence of “flirting”
On the morning of Nov 3rd, the press conference of the movie “Single in Seoul” (directed by Park Beom-soo) was held at Lotte Cinema Konkuk Univ. in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul. In attendance were director Park Beom-soo, actors Lee Dong-wook, Im Soo-jung, Jang Hyun-sung, Lee Mi-do and Ji Yi-soo.
The film “Single in Seoul” revolves around two people, having different temperament and lifestyle. They meet via an essay about single life, and then old memories are rekindled, opening the past wounds.
Lee Dong-wook introduced his character Yeong-ho, “He’s an essay instructor who dreams of becoming a writer. He’s a power influencer who shares his daily life on SNS.” Lee Dong-wook described Yeong-ho as a character who finds happiness and satisfaction in living alone and building self-esteem, making him somewhat unique. Park Kyung-lim added humor to the discussion by mentioning Lee Dong-wook’s close friend Jo Se-ho, “Isn’t Jo Se-ho also a surprising SNS celebrity?“
“Single in Seoul” is expected to resonate with the audience with the grand keyword of “whole nation flirting”.
In particular, regarding anticipation towards Lee Dong-wook, who is considered a “flirting” expert, Lee Mi-do looked at Lee Dong-wook and joked, “Why do you keep flirting with me?” Lee Dong-wook caused laughter by responding, “Why are you doing this to me, mom?“
