Kim Shin-young shared her thoughts on being nominated for Best New Actress at the 43rd Blue Dragon Film Awards on MBC FM4U’s “Kim Shin-young’s Noon Song of Hope”.
On this day’s broadcast, a listener said, “It’s fun to see your name among actresses.”
Kim Shin-young confessed, “I was surprised. Above all, I feel good that the work ‘Decision to Leave’ was nominated. Please watch the Blue Dragon Film Awards that day. I don’t know if I’ll appear at this event, but our work will show up. I’m happy with just that.”
Earlier, Kim Shin-young participated in director Park Chan-wook’s movie “Decision to Leave”. She played Hae-jun (Park Hae-il)’s junior detective in the movie. After its release, she received favorable reviews from the audience for her acting skills.
In particular, director Park, who directly cast her, said in several interviews, “I’ve been her fan since she appeared on ‘People Looking for a Laugh’. I thought that she’s an excellent genius, and I felt that the film industry shouldn’t leave such a person unattended.”
The 43rd Blue Dragon Film Awards will be held at KBS Hall in Yeouido on Nov 25th. Aside from Kim Shin-young, actresses Go Yoon-jung, Kim Hye-yoon, Shin Si-ah and Lee Ji-eun were also nominated for Best New Actress.
