On July 31, the Seoul Mapo Police Department announced that they received a report of Mr. A, a renowned rapper and former producer of “Show Me the Money”, assaulting a pedestrian and have initiated a pre-investigation.
Mr. A is reported to have assaulted a passerby at around 8:30 PM on the 28th in a park located in Mapo District.
It is alleged that Mr. A told the pedestrian to “walk their bicycle properly” and then proceeded to assault them using a mobile phone and other means. The victim sustained injuries, including a laceration near the eye and damage to some teeth.
The police conducted an on-site investigation with both Mr. A and the victim before releasing them.
Based on the report, the police are verifying the facts and will decide on whether to formally charge Mr. A after the preliminary investigation.
Mr. A was recruited by a major agency in 2008 and made his official debut in the music industry in 2010. He participated as a producer in the popular hip-hop audition program ‘Show Me the Money’ series.
