Recently, a viral post claimed that there was “no man in Incheon” a city of roughly three million residents whom Shinji had not dated. The allegation quickly spread online, sparking heated discussions and damaging speculation about the singer and actress’s personal life.

On February 12, Shinji appeared on her personal YouTube channel to set the record straight. She firmly denied the claims, calling them absurd. “There are rumors saying there isn’t a single man in Incheon I haven’t dated. It’s ridiculous. I haven’t even met most of the men there,” she said. To further refute the allegation, she pointed out that she attended all-girls middle and high schools, meaning she was surrounded almost exclusively by female students during her teenage years.

In the same video, Shinji also recalled a past controversy in which she faced intense backlash simply for being close friends with members of the legendary group g.o.d. Although their relationship was purely platonic and professional, some fans of the group allegedly accused her of trying to flirt with or seduce the members.

“The situation stemmed from jealousy among some fans,” Shinji explained. “They pressured me with comments like, ‘Stop trying to seduce the g.o.d members’ and ‘Don’t flirt in front of them.’ It was extremely exhausting.”

More recently, Shinji has been swept into fresh controversy after announcing her upcoming marriage to singer MoonOne. Since going public with their wedding plans, rumors and accusations surrounding her fiancé have flooded online forums, leading to a wave of public skepticism about their relationship.

In one vlog, MoonOne admitted that he had previously been divorced and has a daughter. A commenter claiming to know his ex-wife warned viewers to “check the divorce records” for surprising details. Additional anonymous posts on the forum Blind alleged that he had cheated on a former girlfriend during pregnancy, rushed into marriage, and later divorced under similar circumstances. Other accusations included school violence, bullying during military service, and fraudulent real estate transactions.

Amid the escalating controversy, MoonOne acknowledged that he once worked with an unlicensed real estate brokerage but firmly denied allegations of infidelity, bullying, or school violence. Shinji has also publicly defended her fiancé, rejecting the negative claims. However, many online users remain unconvinced, with some continuing to question his character.

Born in 1981, Shinji debuted at the age of 17 as a member of the once hugely popular co-ed group Koyote. After establishing herself in the music industry, she expanded into acting and gained further recognition through the classic sitcom High Kick!.
