Minho will attend the 33rd Paris Olympics, opening on July 26th (local time), as one of the IOC (International Olympic Committee) “Olympic™ friends”. During the event, he will watch various competitions, share in the excitement with the audience, and wholeheartedly support the Korean athletes.
Minho is the first to be appointed as an “Olympic™ friend”, a new IOC program designed to allow famous personalities, rather than athletes, to promote the values of the Olympics. Previously, Minho participated in promoting the “2024 Gangwon Winter Youth Olympic Games” as a torchbearer in Chuncheon and engaged in various activities, such as creating content where he experienced luge firsthand.
In November 2017, Minho also participated in the public diplomacy campaign event “Girls Play 2!” and delivered a message wishing for the success of the “2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics”, highlighting his special connection with the Olympics. His involvement in the 33rd Paris Olympics is expected to draw significant attention.
Meanwhile, Minho is set to appear as Nam Tae-pyung, a character who lives life his way, in JTBC’s new Saturday-Sunday drama “Romance in the House”, premiering on August 10th at 10:30 PM. Additionally, he has been cast in the role of Val in the play “Waiting for Godot”, which will open on September 7th at Yes24 Stage 3, marking his first appearance on the theater stage since his debut.
