SHINee won the 1st place trophy in the second week of July’s Inkigayo.
On July 9th, SBS’s ‘Inkigayo’ announced SHINee, aespa, and LE SSERAFIM as the candidates for 1st place. According to the results, SHINee’s ‘HARD’ took 1st place this week.
SHINee members expressed their surprise, “Thank you so much. We worked hard in preparation for our 15th anniversary, and we are grateful to the fans who believed in us and waited. Thank you to the members for their hard work and to everyone at SM who worked hard together. This is just the beginning for SHINee. We ask for even more support in the future.”
They continued, “It’s been a long time since we debuted. It’s been over 15 years, and we are thankful to the fans who have been supporting us consistently. We can continue to work hard because of all of you. We ask for your continued support. We will repay you with hard work.”
In particular, Key said, “I thought they would tell us since I’m a special MC today (about winning 1st place), but they didn’t tell us anything. I’m happy and overwhelmed. I thank SHAWOLs for allowing us to receive such a good award on our anniversary.“
Meanwhile, on this episode of ‘Inkigayo,’ Kim Sung Kyu, Kim So Yeom, Kim Jae Hwan, Nam Dong Hyun, Lapillus, LUN8, SHINee, SWAN, &TEAM, 8TURN, WEi, Queenz Eye, +(KR)ystal Eyes, KISS OF LIFE, TREASURE (T5), TEEN TOP, and others appeared and delivered various performances.
