SHINee members celebrated the birthday of the late Jonghyun, who sadly passed away.
On April 8th, Key posted a photo on his Instagram of Jonghyun sleeping, along with a message saying, “happy birthday to my best friend♥ love you. sending all my love to you.”
On the same day, fellow SHINee member Minho also posted on Instagram, expressing his longing for Jonghyun by writing, “happy birthday! I miss you a lot this year too. date 2017.04.08.”
The photo that was shared showed Jonghyun in a bright and happy moment, with a big smile on his face and cream on his cheeks. Many people were touched by the photo, as well as by the cover video of Jonghyun’s “End of a Day” that was posted by SHINee’s youngest member Taemin, along with photos of himself with Jonghyun.
Jonghyun, born on April 8th, 1990, debuted with SHINee in 2008 and became popular with hit songs such as “Replay,” “Juliette,” “Ring Ding Dong,” “Lucifer,” “Sherlock,” etc. He also received a lot of love as a solo artist with songs like “End of a Day,” “1000,” “Lonely,” and “Shinin’.” Additionally, Jonghyun made a name for himself as a songwriter for artists such as IU’s “Gloomy Clock” and Lee Hi’s “Breathe.”
However, on December 18th, 2017, Jonghyun suddenly passed away, shocking fans around the world.
