SHINee Key Injection Aunt controversy

On December 12, the YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute shared a photo during a livestream that allegedly shows Key chatting with “A,” the woman referred to as “Injection Aunt,” at the first birthday party of her daughter. The photo was said to have been taken in September 2015.

Garo Sero Institute claimed, “This is not a casual event someone would attend without being close. Why would a global star like Key be at the birthday of the Injection Aunt’s daughter if they weren’t personally acquainted?”—raising suspicions about the nature of their relationship.

Prior to this, several screenshots of A’s now-private social media posts resurfaced online. One post featured a signed copy of SHINee Key’s second full-length album Gasoline with the caption, “A Key album that flew over via express delivery.” A handwritten message—believed to be from Key—read, “Why did you think I gave you the CD? lol. Thanks for always taking good care of me.”

A, who rose to attention for allegedly administering IV drips illegally to Park Na Rae, has claimed to be a graduate from a medical university in Inner Mongolia, China. However, she is under scrutiny since foreign medical licenses are not valid for practicing medicine in South Korea.

As the controversy deepened, A switched her social media accounts to private. Still, past posts continue to spread, sparking speculation that other celebrities, including Key, might have interacted with her under questionable circumstances.

In response to the growing rumors, SHINee’s Onew previously clarified his own connection to A. His agency stated that he had visited her clinic once in April 2022 at the recommendation of an acquaintance and added, “Given the clinic’s appearance at the time, it was difficult to suspect any licensing issues. The signed CD was merely a token of appreciation after a consultation.”
