Shin Min-ah & Kim Young-dae To Become Fake Married Couple In New Romcom “No Gain No Love”

On July 17th, tvN announced the casting lineup for “No Gain No Love” with Shin Min-ah, Kim Young-dae, Lee Sang-yi and Han Ji-hyun as the leading actors.

“No Gain No Love” depicts a zero-loss romance between a woman who gets married because she doesn’t want to lose money and a man who becomes a fake groom because he doesn’t want to cause damage to the woman.

Shin Min-ah takes on the role of Son Hae-young, who always calculates profits and losses. As a person who even measures the break-even point for both her life and love, Son Hae-young decides to have a fake wedding when she notices that she’s on the verge of losing her promotion in her company.

Shin Min-ah is expected to showcase unique charms unlike those of her previous characters. The actress will challenge a new role with her solid acting skills and make viewers forget about her successful works such as “Hometown Cha Cha Cha” and “Our Blues”.

Kim Young-dae will appear as Kim Ji-wook, a convenience store part-timer. Known as a citizen police officer and a righteous man, this character cannot ignore people in need. Although Kim Ji-wook is at odds with customer Hae-young, he suddenly receives an unreasonable proposal from her. Accepting the part-time job as the groom at her wedding, Kim Ji-wook faces a turning point in his life.

Another highlight of the drama is the romance of Lee Sang-yi and Han Ji-hyun. Lee Sang-yi plays Bok Kyu-hyun, a third-generation chaebol CEO who doesn’t believe in fateful love. Han Ji-hyun portrays 19+ web novel author Nam Ja-yeon who writes under the name Yeonbora. In the process, she encounters Bok Kyu-hyun and gets entangled with him.

Director Kim Jung-sik of “Work Later, Drink Now” and “Strong Girl Nam-soon” will be in charge of directing his drama. The script is created by “Her Private Life” writer Kim Hye-young.

The production team stated, “This project brings about a combination of actors with solid acting skills and unrivaled charms. Please look forward to their realistic story that anyone can sympathize with”. 

Meanwhile, “No Gain No Love” will premiere on tvN at 8:50 p.m. on April 26th. It will also be available on TVING and Amazon Prime.
