Dayoung recently released her new music video, but much of the spotlight unexpectedly shifted to Shiloh Jolie, who appeared as a backup dancer.
The 19-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie made her on-screen debut as a dancer in the MV What’s a girl to do, released on April 7.
In the video, she is credited under the name “Shi” instead of her full name. Shiloh performs as part of a dance crew supporting Dayoung. The MV mainly features choreography-focused scenes set outdoors. Although she appears in multiple sequences alongside the singer, her screen time is relatively limited, with few close-up shots.
Despite this, viewers quickly became intrigued by her presence. Many admitted they watched the MV specifically after hearing that Shiloh would appear as a dancer. Comments flooded in expressing surprise, such as noting how modest it was for her to be credited simply as “Shi,” and others marveling that the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt would take on a backup dancer role.

According to Entertainment Tonight, Shiloh joined the project without seeking attention or fame. In fact, no one on set reportedly knew her real identity during filming.
Dayoung later shared behind-the-scenes photos, offering fans a glimpse of her working with Shiloh and the dance team.
With carefully choreographed moves, a lace outfit, slicked-back hair, and hoop earrings, Shiloh’s brief appearance quickly went viral. Beyond her dance skills, many fans pointed out her striking resemblance to Angelina Jolie, noting similarities in facial features.

Prior to the MV’s release, Dayoung’s agency Starship Entertainment confirmed that Shiloh was selected purely based on her abilities through an open audition held in the United States.
“We held open auditions in the U.S. to find dancers for the MV. Many applicants from the Culture dance crew participated, and Shiloh was chosen in the final round. Even after filming, we didn’t know she was the daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt we only found out recently,” a representative shared.
Earlier, in February 2025, Angelina Jolie revealed at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival that none of her children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox are particularly interested in becoming celebrities.

She described Shiloh as “extremely private” and not fond of fame. “My children aren’t interested in acting. They don’t like the glamorous side of celebrity life, especially Shiloh. In a very healthy way, they don’t see it as something normal,” Jolie said.
She also added that her children have diverse artistic interests: “Some love dancing, some enjoy painting, others are into theater but none of them are eager to be in front of the camera.”
