The clip, recently posted on her official Instagram account, shows the singer shyly smiling at the camera before delivering a warm greeting in Korean, delighting fans across social media and online communities.

The viral moment became even more interesting after reports revealed that Kany, the French-born choreographer known to Korean audiences through television appearances, helped Shakira learn the Korean phrases.

Kany, who is married to a Korean husband, served as the lead choreographer for Shakira’s recent performances and reportedly taught the singer Korean during rehearsals. The behind-the-scenes language lesson ultimately led to the now-viral Instagram Reel. Known internationally as a choreographer who has worked with major global artists including Shakira and Beyoncé Kany was also responsible for directing choreography for “Dai Dai,” the official song featured during the 2026 FIFA World Cup celebrations.

Reports say Kany personally coached Shakira through Afro-inspired hip movements while overseeing rehearsals with dozens of dancers from around the world. During rehearsal sessions, she was even spotted wearing a jersey representing South Korea’s national football supporters, the Red Devils, attracting attention from Korean fans.
