SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu Sparks Speculation of Adjusted Schedule for Farewell with BTS’s Jungkook Before Enlistment

The precious friendship between SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu and BTS’s Jungkook draws attention

Whenever the two 97-born idols, SEVENTEEN’s Mingyu and BTS’s Jungkook, engage in activities together, it catches widespread attention.

BTS’s Jungkook, Jimin, RM, and V are reportedly preparing for military enlistment later this December. Jungkook, in particular, connected with fans through possibly his last solo Weverse live on December 8, before his long hiatus.

During the live, Jungkook confirmed that he and Mingyu often hung out together and mentioned a recent farewell drink they had shared. At that time, Mingyu was in Japan for SEVENTEEN’s world tour.

Following Jungkook’s live, fans began contemplating Mingyu’s recent schedule. Given how close Japan is to Korea, some SEVENTEEN members, including Mingyu, have chosen to fly back home between concert dates instead of staying in Japan. 

On December 6, fans encountered Mingyu alone at Osaka Airport, accompanied only by management and security. Although the reason for Mingyu’s later flight was not officially disclosed, some fans drew connections to Jungkook’s earlier statement, speculating that Mingyu adjusted his schedule to accommodate his and Jungkook’s farewell hangout. Mingyu possibly altering plans for Jungkook touched many fans’ hearts.
