SEVENTEEN proved their global popularity by winning two awards at MTV EMA.
MTV Europe Music Awards (MTV EMA) was held at PSD Bank Dome in Dusseldorf, Germany on November 13th (local time).
In particular, SEVENTEEN won 2 categories “Best New” and “Best Push”.
“Best New” selects a new artist with remarkable achievements. “Best New” has maintained its position as a major category since 1994 when EMA was newly established.
“Best Push” picks the artist who has the best performance among the most impressive performers selected for the MTV Push Campaign over the past year.
Expressing their feelings, SEVENTEEN said, “2022 was such a meaningful year for us. We resumed our tour and met many people around the world with new music”, adding “With this award being added, it has become an unforgettable year”.
They added, “To EMA and CARATs, who are always by our side, thank you so much”.
Becoming the first K-pop artist to receive “Best Push”, SEVENTEEN confessed their overwhelming feelings, saying “It’s such a great honor for us to be with you tonight and receive this award”.
They continued, “We’re happy to know that our ‘MTV PUSH performance’ was able to reach many people. We want to thank everyone who made this possible tonight”.
SEVENTEEN was nominated for three categories, “Best K-pop”, “Best New” and “Best Push”, for the first time and the boy group certified their explosive popularity by winning two awards.
Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN is carrying out a world tour. Starting with the show at Kyocera Dome Osaka on Nov 19th~20th, the group will meet fans at the Tokyo Dome on Nov 26th~27th, and Vantelin Dome Nagoya on Dec 3rd~4th. Various events will be held in those cities before and after the concert. They prepared an urban concert play park called “SEVENTEEN BE THE SUN THE CITY” for fans.
