The group BTOB is currently discussing a re-contract with Cube Entertainment (hereinafter referred to as Cube).

On the 28th, Cube officially stated on WikiTree, “It is true that the timing for BTOB’s re-contract has come. Both the company and the members are carefully discussing it in a positive direction.”

Earlier on this day, JTBC reported, citing multiple music industry insiders, that the contracts between BTOB members and Cube will expire sequentially starting next month.

Debuting in 2012, BTOB is a 6-member group consisting of Eunkwang, Minhyuk, Changsub, Hyunsik, Peniel, and Sungjae. Former member Jung Ilhoon, who had been with the group for 10 years, left the group in 2021 after his involvement in marijuana smoking came to light.

BTOB has gained significant love with numerous hit songs such as “Way Back Home,” “It’s Okay,” “Memory of Spring,” “Missing You,” “Second Confession,” “I Can’t Without You,” “Beautiful Pain,” “Someday,” “Pray,” “My Wind,” and more. In May of last year, they released their 12th mini-album “Wind and Wish” and engaged in full-group activities after a long hiatus.

During periods of inactivity as a group, all members have been active in various fields including acting, musicals, and variety shows, showcasing the versatility of their talents.

In 2018, BTOB went through a re-contracting process with Cube. As their second contract expiration approaches, attention is drawn to what choices they will make.
