At 8 p.m. on March 13, the Sol Philharmonic Orchestra held its 8th regular concert at Lotte Concert Hall in Songpa-gu, Seoul. Seohyun appeared as a special guest performer for the event.

A video capturing Seohyun’s debut performance at Lotte Concert Hall was also uploaded on the YouTube channel Flowit Culture. The channel commented that while her skills might not yet match those of a professional musician, the challenge itself was impressive. They noted that choosing Csárdás for her first performance on such a large stage was particularly bold.

The channel added that the small mistakes during the performance actually made the stage more relatable and inspiring. It also mentioned that Seohyun performed an encore, delighting the audience with an additional piece.

Although Seohyun has only been learning the violin for about five months as a hobby, she still took the stage for the collaboration. The Sol Philharmonic Orchestra is also composed of classical music enthusiasts rather than professional performers.

However, after news of Seohyun’s participation in the concert was announced, some classical music majors criticized the decision, calling it “celebrity privilege.” They argued that despite being an amateur, Seohyun was able to perform at Lotte Concert Hall due to her public recognition, which quickly sparked debate.

Despite the controversy, Seohyun ultimately completed the performance successfully. After the concert, she reportedly held a brief meeting with fans who attended the event.
