On August 30th, the agency IEUM# announced, “Seo Ji-hye will make a special appearance in tvN’s Saturday-Sunday drama ‘Love Next Door’ (written by Shin Ha-eun, directed by Yoo Je-won). She will play the role of Jang Tae-hee, the ex-girlfriend of Choi Seung-hyo (played by Jung Hae-in).“
“Love Next Door” is a story about a woman who wants to change her life that she doesn’t like and her mother’s friend’s son who knows too well about her shameful childhood.
Seo Ji-hye’s character Jang Tae-hee was Choi Seung-hyo’s campus couple (CC) partner in the past. Her confident personality and successful career as an expert in pottery make viewers curious about why she reappears in Choi Seung-hyo’s life.
Jang Tae-hee’s return creates subtle tension between Bae Seok-ryu (played by Jung So-min) and Choi Seung-hyo, drawing attention to the unique dynamic among the three characters.
This special appearance marks Seo Ji-hye’s reunion with Jung Hae-in after eight years, following their previous collaboration in SBS’s weekend drama “Yeah, That’s How It Is”.
