Along with this, a past story of Seo Ji-hye saving a woman from a drunken man has been revealed, drawing even more attention.
According to the broadcasting industry, Seo Ji-hye witnessed an incident in 2010 after wrapping up filming for the drama “Kim Su-ro, The Iron King”. While waiting for a KTX train to travel from the countryside to Seoul, she saw a drunken man arguing with a woman on the platform. The woman appeared to be in a dangerous situation.
Concerned for the woman’s safety, Seo Ji-hye cautiously approached and asked what was going on. The woman explained that the man had asked for directions, and after she helped him, he began to follow and annoy her.
Seo Ji-hye then invited the woman to stand by her side, and they boarded the arriving train together. However, the man followed them onto the train and asked the woman for her phone number.
Although Seo Ji-hye told the man “You shouldn’t behave like this when you’re drunk”, he continued to annoy them. At this point, she physically restrained the drunken man.
It turns out that Seo Ji-hye holds a black belt in Hapkido (certified 4th-degree). The technique she used to subdue the man was a Hapkido throw.
Seo Ji-hye said, “I was also very scared at the time, but I found the courage to help the woman who was in danger.”
