Actor Ryu Jun Yeol is set to take on the lead role in Netflix’s upcoming series Outback.
According to reports on April 13, Ryu Jun Yeol will star in Outback, marking another major project in his expanding global portfolio.

Outback is based on the mystery thriller webtoon G’day, originally serialized on Lezhin Comics. The story follows Shion, who travels to Australia in search of his missing older sister, and Hans, a mysterious man whose presence adds layers of intrigue to the narrative.
In the series, Ryu Jun Yeol will portray Hans, the central character who drives the story forward. In the original webtoon, Hans is depicted as a villainous figure, raising curiosity about how the character will be reinterpreted in the drama adaptation.

Ryu Jun Yeol is also scheduled to return to the small screen later this year with another Netflix series, Mousetrap. With Outback added to his lineup, the actor continues his streak of high-profile projects, solidifying his presence on the global streaming platform.
Meanwhile, Outback will be produced by Shot Cake, with director Jeon Doo Kwan taking the helm.
