On May 13, a Japanese netizen shared an encounter with Ryu Jun Yeol at the Cannes Film Festival through social media. The individual introduced themselves as someone working for the Japanese film distribution company Elas Films and revealed, “I met actor Ryu Jun Yeol at the Cannes Film Festival.”
According to the post, Ryu Jun Yeol appeared to be in Cannes for movie buyer-related schedules. After hearing that the individual had previously distributed Korean films, the actor reportedly showed interest and asked which films they had worked on.

The poster explained, “I felt a bit awkward mentioning the movie title because it was a film starring Han So Hee, and there had been dating reports involving the two in the past.”
However, once the title Heavy Snow was mentioned, Ryu Jun Yeol reportedly laughed and replied, “Of course I know Han So Hee’s movie.”
The netizen later described the interaction as “really funny,” emphasizing the relaxed and cheerful atmosphere of the conversation.
Photos shared alongside the story also showed Ryu Jun Yeol wearing a green jacket while taking a selfie with the netizen on the streets of Cannes.
Meanwhile, Ryu Jun Yeol previously ended his long-term public relationship with Hyeri before later becoming embroiled in dating rumors with Han So Hee.

At the time, the controversy intensified as online speculation about a possible “transit relationship” spread rapidly. Both sides denied the allegations, but shortly after officially acknowledging their relationship, the couple announced their breakup approximately two weeks later.
The two actors also eventually stepped down from the project Portraits of Delusion, a drama they had reportedly been considering appearing in together.
Ryu Jun Yeol is currently preparing for the release of upcoming Netflix series including Mousetrap and Outback.
