Actor Ryu Jun-yeol showcased his exceptional stamina by completing the full course at the “2023 Chicago Marathon”
On Oct 8th (local time), Ryu Jun-yeol participated in the “2023 Chicago Marathon” held in Chicago, Illinois, USA and successfully completed the 42.195km full course with a time of 4 hours, 54 minutes and 39 seconds.
For his first marathon, Ryu Jun-yeol had been preparing with a strong determination and passion for a year. Moreover, it was even more remarkable that he managed to finish the full course despite jet lag and unfavorable ankle condition.
Ryu Jun-yeol’s love for sports has been well known for a long time. In particular, Ryu Jun-yeol, known as a “soccer enthusiast”, built a friendship with “Korean soccer hero” Son Heung-min as they share a common interest. It is also known that he visited the UK to watch a soccer match during his short vacation.
In an interview with a magazine in the past, when asked if there were any players he’d like to meet, he said, “I’ve already met Son Heung-min, and I think my wish came true.”
