Portraying Goo San Young, who gets possessed by the devil, Kim Tae Ri shared, “When I first heard the writer talk about the storyline of the drama, I was already amazed by the material”, adding, “Thinking that there would be endless stories to tell, I became curious and interested in how the scenario would develop.”

She continued, “The script written by Kim Eun Hee is abundant and complete. From my point of view as an actor, it felt great to act out a script like that”

The actress said, “Rather than the difficulty of the genre, the most challenging thing to me was playing two roles at the same time with only one face. I tried to focus on the situation of each character”, adding “There were moments when I couldn’t understand what the devil and San Young do to each other and had a biased attitude towards as I acted as San Young first before switching to the devil.”

Kim Tae Ri further explained, “I get possessed by the devil right from the first episode. I focused on expressing the emotions that are most relatable to Korean audiences, such as anger and injustice. I tried to show what made the character feel most angry about or the most unfair thing, and in the process, I gradually distinguished between the two characters better.”

“Revenant” is a Korean occult mystery drama about a woman possessed by a devil and a man who can see the devil digging into mysterious deaths. “Genre master” Kim Eun Hee, the screenwriter of “Sign”, “Phantom”, “Signal”, “Kingdom”, etc., was in charge of the script while director Lee Jung Rim, who created SBS’s 2019 drama “VIP”, took the megaphone. It will premiere at 10 p.m. on June 23rd.
