On May 16, a topic accusing a reporter of being paid by HYBE to slander NewJeans was published on the Korean forum “theqoo” drawing attention.
According to said article, reporter Kim Ye-rang has written various articles defending the Dahn World – the religion suspected to be affiliated with HYBE. However, she was also behind various pieces of news that paint NewJeans towards a bad light, as well as bring up past controversies of NewJeans members such as the “kalguksu issue”.
The same reporter also only reported HYBE’s statements during the HYBE-ADOR feud, suggesting a blatant siding towards HYBE.
