Red Velvet’s Joy Dissed SM Entertainment, Fans are Frustrated
It seems that SM Entertainment is failing at basically everything related to Red Velvet despite the group’s 10th anniversary.
On June 24, Red Velvet was set to release the MV for their new title, “Cosmic”, at 6PM (KST). This is an extremely special release, as Red Velvet’s new comeback is a special album to commemorate the girl group’s 10th debut anniversary.
However, even after the album was released on music sites and dance challenge videos were even posted on TikTok, the “Cosmic” MV was nowhere to be seen, and SM claimed that the delay was to “enhance the quality of the MV”.
Additionally, Red Velvet’s Joy later appeared on the fan communication platform “Bubble” and basically dissed SM, saying, “Well … They didn’t listen to our opinion and we were just waiting. In the end, we ended up watching the MV without any edits. I can’t say more than this, so I’ll just stay quiet”.
If fans were already frustrated by SM delaying the “Cosmic” MV, then Joy’s words were like the last straw. At the moment, fans’ dissatisfaction is filling up various Internet platforms, with numerous negative comments being made against SM Entertainment.
