Red Velvet is reportedly gearing up for a highly anticipated full-group comeback this August, marking the quintet’s first album release together in more than two years.
According to an exclusive report, the group is currently in the final stages of preparing a new album scheduled for release in August 2026. If confirmed, the project will be Red Velvet’s first full-group comeback since the release of their 10th-anniversary mini-album Cosmic in June 2024.
The upcoming comeback carries special significance because it will be the group’s first official release since members Wendy and Yeri departed SM Entertainment following the expiration of their exclusive contracts.
While both idols signed with new agencies to pursue individual activities, they repeatedly assured fans that Red Velvet would continue group promotions whenever possible.
