Back on May 9, 2025, YG Entertainment officially announced that Rami would temporarily halt activities to focus on her health. Since then, updates regarding the idol have remained extremely limited, while BABYMONSTER has continued promotions as a six-member group.

The situation recently drew even more attention after comments made during a fan video call event for BABYMONSTER’s latest comeback, “Choom.”
During a call with Pharita on May 15, one fan reportedly mentioned that fans missed Rami and wondered if there had been any updates about her condition. Pharita responded carefully, saying that the members also missed Rami very much, but added that she did not think she was able to say anything further.
Although many acknowledged that Pharita may simply have been unable to discuss company matters publicly, the interaction still triggered frustration among portions of the fandom. Some fans criticized YG Entertainment for continuing to leave both fans and members in an uncertain situation regarding Rami’s status.
At the same time, others argued that questions about Rami’s hiatus should not be directed toward the members themselves, pointing out that such situations could place idols in uncomfortable positions during fan interactions.
