In a preview clip for tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block” released on May 20, Rain responded to public speculation surrounding Kim Tae Hee’s emotional appearance on the show last year.
When host Yoo Jae Suk asked whether he had watched Kim Tae Hee’s episode of “You Quiz,” Rain immediately replied, “I really need to talk about that.”
Rain then recalled the moment he watched the broadcast at home. He said, “I was happily holding her while watching from the bed.” He continued, “At the end, Kim Tae Hee unintentionally talked about the stress of parenting, covered her mouth, and looked teary-eyed before the scene cut off. After that, I received countless calls asking, ‘Don’t you help with childcare at home?’”

The star explained that the short clips spreading online only intensified misunderstandings. He added, “Videos of Kim Tae Hee crying kept appearing in short-form content, so people misunderstood and asked why I wasn’t helping with parenting. But I’m the one handling all the school drop-offs and pickups.”
Rain also tried to explain that their daughters naturally tend to seek out their mother more often. He said, “But honestly, it’s true that children usually look for their mom more.”

However, Yoo Jae Suk jokingly responded, “Well, there are also kids who look for their dad,” causing laughter on set.
Previously, Kim Tae Hee appeared on “You Quiz on the Block” and became emotional while speaking about the pressures of parenting. At the time, she confessed, “I experienced parenting stress. Now the kids are older, so things are much easier, but during the hardest emotional times, I think I was unfair to my mother.” She shed tears while reflecting on her difficult moments and feelings toward her own mother.

When asked what she would do if she had time entirely for herself, Kim Tae Hee replied, “I think just being alone would make me really happy. I once had a 15-hour flight from New York to Incheon, and the time passed so quickly. I want to spend more time focusing on myself.”
Meanwhile, Rain and Kim Tae Hee married in 2017 and are raising two daughters together.
