Amid the rising popularity of “Queen of Tears”, Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Ji-won’s sweet chemistry also gains attention
On April 16th, the YouTube channel “tvN Drama” uploaded a behind-the-scenes video for episodes 11 and 12 of the Sat-Sun drama “Queen of Tears”.
In the video, Kim Soo-hyun, as Baek Hyun-woo, hugs Kim Ji-won, whose character Hong Hae-in wakes up at the hospital after collapsing due to her rare illness, tightly.
Knowing her condition worsened due to the disease, Kim Soo-hyun calmly said, “Don’t be scared”, and “Don’t be afraid”, with a sorrowful look.
As the two completed the scene with their perfect acting, the director shouted “Cut”. After the main shoot, the behind camera was turned on and successfully captured a heart-fluttering action of Kim Soo-hyun.
In particular, the actor continued stroking Kim Ji-won’s hair and patting her head even after the shoot ended.

Meanwhile, “Queen of Tears” ranked No.1 among TV-OTT dramas in the third week of April, according to a survey released by Good Data Corporation. The series has dominated the top spot for six consecutive weeks.
“Queen of Tears” depicts the romance of third-generation chaebol Hong Hae-in (Kim Ji-won) and her husband Baek Hyun-woo (Kim Soo-hyun) as they face a crisis in the third year of their marriage. The rating of its recent episode (episode 12) achieved the highest record of more than 20%.
