Queen Dowager Kim Hae Sook feeds the pregnant Crown Princess Oh Ye Joo medicine to harm her baby (Under the Queen’s Umbrella)

Queen Dowager Kim Hae Sook gave medicine to Crown Princess Oh Ye Joo.

In the last episode (episode 16) of tvN’s Sat-Sun drama “Under the Queen’s Umbrella” (written by Park Ba Ra/ directed by Kim Hyung Sik) which aired on December 4th, Queen Dowager (Kim Hae Sook) gave medicine to Crown Princess Yoon Cheong Ha (Oh Ye Joo) to harm her fetus.

Queen Dowager tried to depose Crown Princess Yoon Cheong Ha with the excuse that she was sick, then made up the story that Yoon Chung Ha’s pregnancy was a misdiagnosis. Queen Dowager told a court physician to give Yoon Cheong Ha herbal medicine. Queen Dowager said, “I’m going to beat Queen Hwa Ryeong and the King. If the Queen is beaten, her children will easily be shaken. Didn’t I just touch the Crown Princess?”

The physician told Queen Dowager, “There’s no need to use this medicine. It seems like the Crown Princess has already lost her baby. There is still a stillborn fetus in her abdomen, so she hasn’t noticed yet. In the case of the Crown Princess, it will be hard for her to be pregnant again”.

Upon hearing that, Queen Dowager was very satisfied. However, Queen Im Hwa Ryeong (Kim Hye Soo) met Queen Dowager and King Yi Ho (Choi Won Young) again with the physician. The physician said, “I’m sorry. I didn’t put in the medicine that could harm the Crown Prince’s baby. How can a doctor do such a thing?”

Queen Im Hwa Ryeong then said, “I hid the Crown Princess’s pregnancy until she entered the stable period. I believed it was the only way to protect the baby”, revealing that she had already joined hands with the physician in advance. When Queen Dowager was accused of trying to harm the Crown Princess’s baby, she turned to her son King Yi Ho and explained, “They’re all lying.”
