Post Malone reportedly holds concert in Korea this September with 30,000 audiences

Famous pop star Post Malone will visit Korea for the first time in over 8 years since his debut.

Performance agency Live Nation Korea recently announced that Post Malone will hold his first concert in Korea on September 23rd at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 1 in Ilsan.

This concert in Korea is part of the Asian tour, which also includes Thailand, the Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan, to commemorate the release of Post Malone’s new album “Austin” on July 28th.

Making his debut in 2011, Post Malone is currently one of the hottest singers in the pop music industry. He has released numerous hit songs, such as “Circles”, “Rockstar”, “Psycho”, etc., and topped the Billboard Main Single Chart ‘Hot 100’ several times.

In particular, “Rockstar” dominated the No.1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100’ chart for 8 consecutive weeks, while “Circles” was nominated for Record of the Year and Song of the Year at the Grammy Awards.

His third studio album, “Hollywood’s Bleeding” (2019) set a remarkable record with all tracks entering the ‘Hot 100’ chart.

In 2020, Post Malone received a total of 16 nominations and won 9 awards, including the Top Artist, at the Billboard Music Awards.

Post Malone has drawn keen attention from Korean music fans due to his alleged romantic relationship and engagement with a Korean woman. In 2020, there were rumors of him dating Korean rapper MLMA. After becoming a father with the birth of his daughter last year, Post Malone faced rumors that the mother of his child was not his rumored girlfriend MLMA but a Korean student studying abroad. However, the male singer decided to keep this information a secret.

Meanwhile, Live Nation announced that this concert will take place at the KINTEX by combining Halls 4 and 5 of Exhibition Center 1 with an overall capacity of approximately 30,000 seats. This will be the largest-scale event in KINTEX’s history.

In this regard, Live Nation explained, “Due to the remodeling of Jamsil Main Stadium and the schedules of the KBO and K-League matches, there were not many large-scale venues for concerts. Through close consultation with the artist’s team, we decided to combine two halls at KINTEX for this concert.”

To enhance the sound quality, they will introduce Reverb Time Reduction technology for indoor sound reflection control and reverberation reduction, as well as reinforce sound absorption materials.

Ticket sales will open on Yes24, the concert’s official ticketing site, from noon on July 20th. People with a Live Nation Korea membership will have the opportunity to join a pre-sale on this website from noon until 2:59 p.m. a day before (July 19th). This concert is “for audiences aged 19 and above”.
