Pianist A cleared of illegal filming charges accused by ex-girlfriends, proceeding with second lawsuit for false charges

Famous pianist A, who was accused of illegal filming by his ex-girlfriend B, was cleared of charges after a police investigation.

Recently, the Yeongdeungpo Police Station decided to not prosecute A, who was accused of violating the Special Act on Sexual Violence Crimes (filming using cameras, etc.).

Earlier, in December 2021, B discovered a video of sexual intercourse filmed in July of the same year on A’s PC at his home. It was also found out that A had been keeping similar videos of his previous girlfriends.

B then posted a message on her SNS asking A to admit to illegal filming action and demand a public apology from him. Later, B and another ex-girlfriend C filed a lawsuit against A for illegal filming.

However, the police decided to dismiss the charges, as it was determined that the videos and photos of both B and C were taken with their consent when they were in a romantic relationship with A.

However, the police concluded that the videos and photos of B, including those of C, were taken with mutual consent when they were in romantic relationships with A, and thus cleared A of charges.

After getting cleared of charges, A filed a lawsuit against B and C for violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and also sued B, asking for damage compensation of 80 million won.
