The new drama Phantom Lawyer is quickly gaining attention after its explosive start. By the second episode, the series saw its ratings jump by 2.4%, proving its strong potential in the competitive weekend drama lineup.
Following Undercover Miss Hong, the crime thriller Mad Concrete Dreams, starring Ha Jung Woo, also made a solid debut. The drama recorded a 4.1% rating for its first episode and climbed to 4.5% in episode two. With its intense atmosphere and psychological tension, the show has been praised for its gripping storytelling and strong acting.

However, another new contender is Phantom Lawyer, an SBS production that started even stronger than its competitor on tvN. The drama premiered with an impressive 6.3% rating, the highest among programs airing in the same time slot. This number is significantly higher than the average 3% rating achieved by the previous series No Tail To Tell.
By episode two, the drama’s ratings increased by another 2.4%, reaching 8.7%. Starring Yoo Yeon Seok and Esom, the story begins with lawyer Shin I-rang being effectively blocked from the legal world. After secretly using his mother’s housing deposit money to open a small law office, he discovers that the building was once used by a shaman.

What begins as fear soon turns into an unusual case when I-rang ends up representing the wife of a ghost named Lee Kang-poong, played by Heo Sung Tae. The spirit is a victim of medical malpractice caused by a negligent doctor. The drama blends humorous supernatural moments with emotional family stories from the plaintiff’s side, creating a unique and compelling narrative.
Meanwhile, the healing romance dramas Still Shining and In Your Radiant Season both saw slight declines in ratings. Episodes 3 and 4 of Still Shining recorded 1.2%, while episodes 6 and 7 of In Your Radiant Season achieved 2.9% and 2.8%, respectively. Despite the modest TV ratings, both series continue to attract viewers across Asia through OTT streaming platforms.

The romantic comedy The Practical Guide to Love performed moderately well, recording ratings of 3.4% and 4.5% for its fifth and sixth episodes.
In the drama and actor popularity rankings for the first week of March, Still Shining and its lead actress Kim Minju made their debut in the Top 5. As expected, Boyfriend on Demand climbed to the top of the drama rankings. Jisoo ranked first among the most talked-about actors of the week, while Park Shin Hye placed second and Seo In Guk took third place.

With the explosive start of Phantom Lawyer, many viewers believe the series could soon challenge the dominance of Boyfriend on Demand and Jisoo in upcoming rankings. If the momentum continues, Yoo Yeon Seok and Esom may soon climb to the top spots among the most buzzworthy actors in the coming weeks.
