In the interview, she confessed to experiencing extreme withdrawal, “Before, just looking at the letters related to methamphetamine reminded me of drugs. Just by looking at the sign saying ‘mulberry tree’ (bbongnamu), even when only a syringe appeared on the TV, I thought I wanted to take ‘drugs’ (bbong).”

She continued, “My teeth are broken and need to be fixed, and my facial skin is too damaged. I’ve never had acne, but I think it was caused by drugs. My calves are all meth bugs (imaginary bugs that methamphetamine users believe are on and under their skin while on the drug). I must have scratched it without realizing it. I also found out this time that I have so many scars.”
