In a recent video, Park Seo-joon reminisced about his first meeting with fellow actor Choi Woo-sik and their kiss scene in “Shut Up Family”
On December 12, a video titled “Our Family Member Seo-joon Appears” was uploaded on the YouTube channel “channel fullmoon”.
In the video, Park Seo-joon recalled his post-military school life, describing it as not very enjoyable due to the lack of classmates and the fact that they were mostly his juniors. “But I couldn’t even greet them because I was shy,” he also shared.
According to the actor, after attending school for a semester, he took a leave of absence and, through a friend of a friend, entered a company. It turned out to be the first company he visited, and despite having prepared acting lines, they didn’t ask him to act at all. The CEO, who is now a representative at Park Seo-joon’s current company, asked the actor if he would sign a contract immediately upon seeing him for the first time.
Park Seo-joon expressed that whilst he felt uneasy about signing a contract right away, he felt grateful and ended up agreeing and signing on January 1st.
“Afterwards, I asked the CEO and he just said it was just a gut feeling”, Park Seo-joon revealed. It seems that the CEO, having seen many rookies, was able to make a swift judgment. It is known that other recognizable people such as actors Bae Yong-joon, Lee Na-young, and Han Ye-seul were in the same company.
Since then, Park Seo-joon consistently built his career diligently, sharing that “Dream High 2” was his debut work.
As footage from “Dream High 2” started to play on the video, however, Park Seo-joon showed a flustered look and tried to stop the video, creating laughter. The video showed a young Park Seo-joon with heavy idol makeup dancing, capturing attention. Reflecting on his appearance from 11 years ago, the actor smiled, saying, “I doesn’t feel fresh or like a rookie at all. It’s been a long time since I saw this.”
Park Seo-joon then shared that he met actor Choi Woo-sik while working on the KBS drama “Shut Up Family”, reminiscing that the two of them even had a kiss scene together.
“I met Woo-sik and we became close. We were the youngest ones, so it was always us who finished filming last. After the last scene, I slept over at Woo-sik’s house,” the actor recalled.
Finally, Park Seo-joon praised Choi Woo-sik’s acting, stating, “During the sitcom, thanks to Woo-sik, I became more comfortable in front of the camera. He was always the friend who stimulated me the most. Even when we performed the same acting, his expressions were different.”
