park narae manager abuse

Comedian Park Na-rae is facing serious allegations of workplace abuse and excessive labor from two former female managers, as reported in a December 8 episode of the YouTube channel Entertainment President Lee Jin-ho.

According to Lee Jin-ho, the controversy goes far beyond the previously reported “Injection Auntie” scandal. At the core, he argues, is Park Na-rae’s alleged mistreatment of her staff.

Two female managers — one a former executive-level manager who had worked with Park Na-rae since her JDB Entertainment days, and the other a junior field manager of 1 year and 3 months — reportedly resigned on the same day due to unbearable working conditions. Their duties allegedly included preparing and cleaning up after Park Na-rae’s frequent private parties, running personal errands, and being on 24-hour standby for alcohol-related gatherings.

The most shocking incident involved one manager being hit by a wine glass thrown by Park Na-rae, resulting in a hospital emergency room visit.

The tipping point reportedly came during filming for MBC’s upcoming variety show I’m Excited Too on November 8–9. Despite repeated offers from the managers to prepare her luggage in advance, Park Na-rae allegedly dismissed them — only to demand specific items like wine glasses and lighting on the day of departure. Unable to find the items in her large house, the managers were scolded in front of new salon staff, leading to deep humiliation and their final decision to quit.

Lee Jin-ho claims that despite their grievances, the two still completed the shoot and drove Park Na-rae home before officially resigning.

In addition to labor issues, the managers allege they were promised financial incentives that were never honored. Park Na-rae reportedly offered one manager ₩5 million monthly and 10% of company profits when forming her personal label post-JDB, but allegedly failed to deliver on either.

Perhaps most damning is their claim of working over 400 hours a month, sometimes clocking 26 consecutive hours, doing tasks normally handled by 4–5 staffers. Time-off and overtime compensation were reportedly minimal or absent.

These revelations come shortly after Dispatch reported that Park Na-rae received illegal medical procedures from an unlicensed individual, dubbed “Injection Auntie,” who is also now under scrutiny.

Amid mounting backlash, Park Na-rae announced on December 4 that she would suspend all broadcast activities. “As a comedian whose job is to bring joy, I can’t allow myself to burden programs and colleagues any longer,” she stated, stepping down until the issue is resolved.
