On December 6, Dispatch released a follow-up report alleging that Park Na-rae had received various medical procedures and prescription-level medications from an unlicensed practitioner.
According to the report, this included antidepressants—a class of medication that legally requires a doctor’s prescription.
The outlet further claimed that Park Na-rae even brought the unlicensed individual to Taiwan in 2023 during the overseas filming of the MBC reality show I Live Alone, raising questions about the legality and safety of the medical activities performed during production.
The allegations surfaced after two of Park Na-rae’s former managers filed a ₩100 million damages suit and submitted a criminal complaint to authorities, which included charges relating to violations of the Medical Service Act. In their filings, unidentified medical personnel allegedly connected to Park Na-rae were explicitly listed as subjects of the complaint.
Park Na-rae’s legal representative, attorney Lee Se-jung of Law Firm Gwangjang, issued a clear rebuttal on December 5. According to Lee Se-jung, an internal review of “related evidence, statements, messages, and records” found no illegal medical behavior by Park Na-rae.
Lee Se-jung clarified that Park Na-rae’s medical care consisted solely of legitimate house-call IV treatments provided by licensed doctors and nurses from a clinic she regularly visited: “Park Na-rae was in a situation where hospital visits were difficult due to her busy shooting schedule. She received IV therapy through official home-visit services commonly used by many patients. There is nothing unlawful about this.”
Despite her legal team’s firm stance, public concern has intensified as the “injection auntie” allegations continue to circulate online, amplifying scrutiny over Park Na-rae’s conduct and heightening controversy surrounding her former managers’ initial accusations of workplace mistreatment.
As the situation unfolds, Park Na-rae has yet to personally address the latest claims, while I Live Alone viewers and netizens await further clarification from her agency and the program’s production team.
