On February 9, Disney+ released a teaser for Battle of Fates , describing the program as “a world-first challenge where shocking missions that break taboos ignite a bloody battle among Korea’s fate readers.” The newly revealed poster features 49 fortune tellers renowned in fields such as tarot, saju (Four Pillars), shamanism, and physiognomy, each interpreting fate through their own unique methods.
The teaser captures the intense atmosphere of the competition as the participants react with lines such as “You really came prepared,” “This is too dangerous,” and “Let’s die once and see,” heightening anticipation for the high-stakes missions centered around destiny.
Battle of Fates is a survival variety show in which 49 fortune tellers gather to test their own fate through a series of missions. The program features a fixed cast led by a main MC, alongside Park Na-rae, Shindong, and Lee Yi-kyung.
Notably, this marks Park Na-rae’s first broadcast appearance since she temporarily halted activities following a legal dispute with former managers that surfaced in December last year. It has been reported that Fate War 49 was filmed prior to her announcement of the hiatus.
Disney+’s Battle of Fates will premiere with four episodes on February 11, followed by the sequential release of a total of 10 episodes over four weeks.
