During the August 26 broadcast of KBS Cool FM’s Park Myung-soo’s Radio Show , the popular segment “Hair Hair Quiz Show” featured guest Kim Tae-jin. Amid the usual quizzes and banter, a playful message from a listener impersonating Kim Jong-kook shifted the mood. The message read, “Hello. This is Kim Jong-kook. I couldn’t contact you directly about my wedding, so I’m sharing the news like this. Please sing a congratulatory song.”
Park Myung-soo responded with characteristic wit, saying, “I talk to Kim Jong-kook about twice a year. We seem very close when we run into each other.” He then jokingly lamented, “But I still haven’t received any contact. If it doesn’t come soon, I won’t go to the wedding either.”
Kim Tae-jin, never one to miss a beat, teased, “Aren’t you just publicly asking for an invitation?” —prompting laughter in the studio.
Park went on to promise transparency, stating, “If the invitation comes, I’ll let you know it arrived. If it doesn’t, I’ll let you know it didn’t. The wedding is just around the corner, and if I still don’t get an invitation, I really won’t go.” He capped the segment by playing Kim Jong-kook’s hit song “One Man” as a playful congratulatory gesture.
Meanwhile, Kim Jong-kook recently confirmed his marriage through a heartfelt handwritten letter on his official fan café. He wrote, “I’m settling down. It’s quite late, but I’m so fortunate to be doing this now. I will strive to live well.”
The wedding is set for September 5 in Seoul , and will be held privately , with only close acquaintances and family, including his non-celebrity bride, in attendance.
