The rumors stemmed from screenshots that appeared to show a private conversation with director Jo Nam-hyung. In the alleged exchange, a user asked whether Park Ji-hoon and Jeon So-young, as well as Lee Sang-yi and Han Dong-hee, were dating in real life.
The person impersonating the director reportedly responded: “It’s difficult for me to say anything specific, but chemistry like that doesn’t just happen for no reason, does it?” The vague response was enough to ignite speculation online, with many fans interpreting it as confirmation of romantic relationships between the actors.
The rumors gained traction particularly because Park Ji-hoon and Jeon So-young portrayed a romantic storyline in The Legend of Kitchen Soldier. Their convincing on-screen chemistry had already drawn attention from viewers throughout the drama’s run.
