On the April 18 broadcast of JTBC’s variety show Knowing Bros (Episode 525), cast members of the play Hongdo—including Ye Ji Won, Jung Bo Suk, and Park Ha Sun—appeared alongside special transfer student Kim Shin Young.
During the show, Park Ha Sun shared that she had experienced bullying in the past, recalling her appearance on the program The Golden Bell Challenge during her senior year of high school. She said, “I guess I was really pretty back then. The writers asked me to act cute like announcer Kim Bo Min, so I did. After that, the reaction was so intense that you could even hear students swearing at me.”
She continued, “Since it was an all-girls school, there were many intimidating seniors. If I got on the bus, they would curse at me, and even when I was walking, they would open the bus door just to yell at me. It was really scary.” When the cast asked what she had done, she explained that she had simply followed instructions to act cute.
She added, “Maybe it annoyed them. I only said one line—they told me to do it,” expressing her frustration. “I didn’t even have money, but I took taxis everywhere because I was scared, and then I got criticized for taking taxis too,” she said, drawing sympathy.
