Park Eun-bin, Kang Tae-oh and the cast met with “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” fans, “We received so much love. It’s been like a dream to us”

The group screening event to commemorate the end of ENA’s Wednesday-Thursday drama “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” with the participation of 300 fans ended successfully.

On August 18th, ENA channel held a special event for the cast member of “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” and fans to watch the last episode (episode 16) together at the theater. The event, which was organized by AStory and ENA channel, was joined by a total of 300 lucky viewers. “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” director Yoo In-sik, screenwriter Moon Ji-won, actors Park Eun-bin, Kang Tae-oh, Kang Ki-young, Ha Yoon-kyung, Joo Jong-hyuk, and Joo Hyun-young attended the event to express their gratitude to fans.

First, director Yoo In-sik shared, “People who came here are Woo Young-woo’s real fans”, adding “It is the fans that contribute the most to making ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ so special”, expressing his sincere heart. With tears in her eyes, writer Moon Ji-won said, “The fact that so many people loved our work is like a miracle. It’s thanks to you all that made this miracle happen.

Actress Park Eun-bin, who played the role of Woo Young-woo in the drama, also expressed her overwhelming feelings. She said, “On June 29th, when the first episode aired, a press conference was held at the theater. When I introduced my beloved character Woo Young-woo to the world, I was nervous wondering if many people would love her. I had many grateful days seeing her (Woo Young-woo) receive so much love, and I am very happy to watch the last episode with people who love Woo Young-woo. I hope you will love and remember Woo Young-woo for a long time.”

Actor Kang Tae-oh, who plays Lee Joon-ho, said “Thank you” to the audience who shouted “You’re so handsome” when it came to his turn. He continued, “I’m very happy to greet you all in person through this event. I worked hard for 8 months (of the filming) and spent 8 more weeks with the broadcasts, it’s been like a dream to me and I feel like this year has gone by the fastest in my life”, expressing his regret.

To the fan who shouted “Dad” to him, actor Kang Ki-young, who played Jung Myung-seok, drew laughter as he said “Sons and daughters from all over the country came here”. He continued, “Just think about not being able to see you all through ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ anymore…”, then handed over the mic to Kang Tae-oh. Kang Tae-oh continued by saying his famous line in the drama “I feel so upset”, drawing enthusiastic cheers from fans. Kang Ki-young then said, “To me, you guys are not just normal audiences”, expressing his feelings using a line of attorney Jung Myung-seok. He gained a big round of applause for his witty comment.

Actor Ha Yoon-kyung, who played Choi Soo-yeon, said, “It’s an honor to see those who love ‘Woo Young-woo’, and you who gave me love as ‘Spring Sunshine’.” Actor Joo Hyun-young, who played ‘Dong Geu-ra-mi’ said, “I was so happy to meet such a good director and writer.”

Finally, actor Joo Jong-hyuk came to the audience and aroused a great response from fans, saying, “I think the people here have criticized Tactician Kwon Min-woo a lot. For me, the nickname Tactician Kwon is a great gift. “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” is a miraculous work for me.

Meanwhile, “Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, which was first aired on the ENA channel on June 29, started with an audience rating of 0.95% (Nielsen Korea, based on paid households nationwide) in the first episode, and in the last episode, it got the rating of 17.5%, which is 18 times higher than the first episode. It owns the highest viewership rating among Wednesday-Thursday dramas and maintained its top spot until the end. The highest viewership rating per minute was also recorded at 21.86%.

“Extraordinary Attorney Woo”, the drama that broke ENA’s all-time highest rating record, has ended successfully. It is rated as a drama with a good spread thanks to its mention of many different social issues.
