2NE1 member Park Bom has announced that she will officially begin working as a songwriter.

On July 8, Park Bom shared the news through her social media account, writing, “This is Park Bom. I’ve decided to work as a songwriter too. Whatever.” With the candid message, she personally revealed her plans to pursue songwriting alongside her music career.

She also explained her creative process, saying, “The songs I'm uploading now are entirely mine. I created the melodies by singing them myself and wrote down all of my thoughts by hand.” She concluded by asking fans, “Please give them lots of love.”

Park Bom uploaded her self-composed song Rainy Day, which appears to have been produced using an AI music platform. She added that she plans to record the track herself in the future, saying, “I'll upload it again after recording it with my own voice.”

In addition to Rainy Day, Park Bom also unveiled several other original songs, including Heaven, Morning With Nothing, and The World of Squares and Circles, signaling that she is actively expanding her work as a songwriter.

Meanwhile, Park Bom temporarily suspended entertainment activities in August last year due to health reasons. Since then, she has frequently attracted attention through a series of unusual social media posts and personal updates. She also recently concluded her exclusive contract with the agency that had represented her for approximately eight years.
