Park Bom, a member of iconic girl group 2NE1, has stirred up major controversy by announcing a lawsuit against Yang Hyun Suk, the founder of YG Entertainment. The announcement came via a cryptic Instagram post shared on October 22, in which Park Bom accused Yang of fraud and embezzlement, claiming he failed to pay her rightful share of profits from her entertainment activities over the years.

In the photo she uploaded — labeled “From Park Bom” — the singer listed herself as the plaintiff and Yang as the defendant. She accused him of withholding revenue from album sales, performances, broadcasts, advertisements, songwriting, and more. The post requested an investigation and legal consequences.
Park Bom went on to allege that YG Entertainment never provided a financial breakdown or issued her any payments for her work, resulting in severe economic and emotional distress. She claimed the total unpaid amount was around “1002003004006007001000034 ‘64272e’ trillion won” — a string of numbers that quickly raised eyebrows online.

The number appears nonsensical, equating to an unthinkable $700 nonillion USD (700,459,999,999,999,972,703,559,225,442,304), making it physically and economically impossible. The bizarre figure, along with the use of an unofficial document format and the presence of a potentially personal phone number, led many netizens to question the authenticity and intent of the post.

Online reactions ranged from confusion to concern, with some fans commenting, “What’s going on?” and “This seems like a joke,” while others expressed worry over Park Bom’s well-being.
After receiving criticism and concern from netizens, she deleted the post—only to re-upload it again in the early hours of October 23. Just two hours later, she shared several photos of her dog with what looked like lipstick smeared around its mouth, captioned, “Park Bom. Lipstick, thank you.”

The erratic sequence of posts quickly raised alarm among fans, who expressed concern for her mental health.
Meanwhile, in response to the controversy, her agency, D-Nation Entertainment, released an official statement on October 23, clarifying, “All financial settlements related to Park Bom’s 2NE1 activities have already been completed. No lawsuit has been filed.” The agency added, “Park Bom has suspended all activities to focus on treatment and recovery. We will do our best to support her health and well-being.”

Park Bom is currently on hiatus from all official activities after her agency announced in August that she would be stepping back for health reasons. Her final public appearance was during a halftime performance at a football match on August 3 in Seoul. Despite her hiatus, she has remained active on social media, frequently updating fans.
Whether this lawsuit is legitimate or simply a moment of frustration remains unclear, but it has certainly sparked widespread attention and speculation.
