On April 17, Park Bom uploaded a lengthy letter to her social media, addressing fans with what she described as a message she wrote “thinking it might be the last.”
In the post, she reflected on her early days studying in the United States before returning to Korea to pursue a singing career, eventually joining YG Entertainment.
However, despite the heartfelt tone, the post was deleted shortly after, leaving fans confused and concerned. What caught the most attention was Park Bom’s sudden shift in attitude toward her fellow members.

She warmly described:
- CL as “someone cool who does everything perfectly.”
- Minzy as a “dance genius” and source of pride.
- Sandara Park as a “princess of the Philippines” with a “beautiful voice” that creates strong synergy with her own.
This praise stood in stark contrast to her recent accusations involving Sandara Park, which had shocked fans just weeks earlier.
In a separate but related post, Park Bom also addressed her long-standing controversy, stating that she hoped the issue would be treated as if it had “never happened.”

Her comments reopened debate surrounding the sensitive topic, which has followed her career for years.
Previously, Park Bom had also made a controversial claim alleging that Sandara Park was involved in a drug scandal an accusation Sandara firmly denied, stating: “I have never used drugs. I hope she is healthy.”
The situation escalated further when Sandara Park unfollowed Park Bom on social media.

This latest incident is part of a broader pattern. In recent months, Park Bom has made headlines for a series of unexpected social media actions, including:
- Claiming a self-initiated dating rumor involving actor Lee Min-ho
- Posting allegations toward her former agency
- Repeatedly uploading and deleting emotional messages
These actions have led to growing concern among fans about her emotional well-being.
Reactions to Park Bom’s latest posts have been mixed. Some fans view her letter as a sincere attempt to express gratitude and reconnect with her group’s legacy, while others are troubled by the inconsistency and sudden deletions.
The phrase “2NE1 is a miracle,” which she emphasized in her message, resonated deeply with longtime fans but also highlighted the emotional weight behind her words.
As one of K-pop’s most iconic groups, 2NE1 continues to hold a special place in fans’ hearts. However, Park Bom’s recent actions have added complexity to the group’s narrative.

Whether her latest message signals reconciliation, personal struggle, or simply a fleeting moment of emotion remains unclear.
Below is her full letter translation:
To the Citizens (of the nation).
Hello, I am Park Bom. The weather has grown much better now, but there is something I absolutely must tell you. I am writing this thinking of it as my last time. I was a student studying abroad in the United States before I came to Korea to become a singer. This may seem out of the blue, but please listen to me first. I am Park Bom, the one in charge of singing. I am a prodigy of song. Even during my student days, I was incredibly popular because of my singing. I gave up the dreams and expectations my parents had for me as an international student and recklessly returned to Korea with a “tough auntie” spirit. I stayed for three years, auditioning for YG without a promise or a set timeframe. With the right judgment and the tenacity to become the best singer, I came to take charge of the vocals in Captain Planet.
Regarding our leader CL, Lee Chae-rin, she is a god of performance. To that extent, her compositions, expressions, and everything else just “work” spontaneously. She is a rapper. Although I cannot write as detailed as she could because I am not her, she is a friend who came from France, Tokyo, and Korea. We all gathered from far away, didn’t we? Lee Chae-rin is a very cool person. She is someone who carries out everything wonderfully. Even the way she moves her hands is cool. You can see her as the one overseeing everything becoming cool. She takes charge of the performance in Captain Planet.
Next is our youngest, Gong Min-ji. Well-known as the granddaughter of the late Gong Ok-jin, who was designated as a national treasure, Min-ji is also someone I am very proud of seeing from her side; perhaps it is because she inherited that blood. I think she is crazy. She is a god of dance! It was quite fascinating to see. Even to me, it is a fascinating story. She is a person who is refreshingly hot, spontaneous, and uniquely strange. She is delightful. That is why even while performing, I look at Min-ji and smile because I am proud of her. It is also because everything she does is spontaneous. People don’t know, so they say certain things, but even when we go abroad, if we just show them her, they know she is the best. Their attitudes suddenly change. This is Gong Min-ji from Korea. She is in charge of dance in Captain Planet.
Lastly, my Sandara. Sandara is the princess of the Philippines. I was a fan of hers from the beginning. I even looked up Human Theater at the scheduled time to watch her. When she debuted, I thought she looked like the actress Kang Soo-yeon. She is so pretty, right? Within the team, she brings harmony and is in charge of refreshing vocals. She always faces people with a smiling face. When she sings with me, the main vocal, we create a synergy effect, and her voice is so beautiful. Everyone works hard, but even as the older sister, she puts aside her pride and listens to the younger ones; she is a “go-getter” who works hard regardless. I know everything. She is the brain of Captain Planet. She is clever and plays a role like a manager.
Everyone, I am watching over and managing each and every one of you. To put it simply, first of all, I love you all so much. You have no idea how hard it was for me to write this and how much I didn’t want to. I wrote this while screaming on other pieces of paper because it gave me goosebumps. This is because this style is not my style. But this story is a story within us that I have wanted to tell since 20 years ago. It is a 100% true story. First of all, thank you for raising us who gathered with such difficulty. Thank you so much for raising us in Korea. Now that we are all grown, I hope my heart for the group called 2NE1 reaches you. I am leaving this letter because I desperately wanted to convey my heart.
Actually, I am writing this because I want the talk about that drug scandal to be treated as something that never happened. It’s such a waste because it’s a miracle that the four of us met, given the large age gaps and the fact that it was an almost impossible situation. That is why I am writing this letter. I was so grateful that you all raised us so dearly. And I love you.
